Solvent-based intumescent coating for fire protection of steel elements
White, solvent-based, intumescent coating designed to enhance the fire resistance of structural steel elements and frameworks. Classified according to EN 13501-2, tested in accordance with EN 13381-8, and holding European Technical Assessment (ETA) 24/0599.
Fire resistance class: R15 to R120

Technical features
- Forms a continuous, adherent protective layer on the substrate.
- Does not alter the aesthetic appearance of steel structures
- Does not increase the weight or alter the geometry of the structural element to which it is applied.
- Can be finished with a colored topcoat.
- Suitable for both interior and exterior applications.
Applications
Specialized fire protection system for structural steel elements in buildings intended for civil and industrial use.
Drying time
- AMOTHERM STEEL 400 SB Minimum 6 hours
- AMOTHERM STEEL 400 SB/FD Minimum 4 hours
when overcoating with itself and at a thickness of 750 μm
Consumption
Defined according to the structural element to be protected and the required technical performance. The required thickness of the intumescent coating is determined by the massivity factor and the critical temperature of the steel element. Values are detailed in the assessment report.
